Downtown Enhancement Report
Draft Downtown Enhancement Report Now Available for Review
As you may recall, the Village of Keremeos held a public meeting on August 22, 2016 to collect input on how Keremeos could be visually enhanced, thereby paving the way for a fresh look at an economic development strategy. The visual enhancement strategy, conducted by CTQ Consultants, was made possible through a grant from the Ministry of Forests' Rural Dividend Fund.
The consultants have completed the draft report based on input received from the public meeting, their own observations, and discussions with Village staff and the Mayor. The draft report was presented to Council at their Regular Council meeting on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 6:00 pm and written feedback about the report was received up to October 14, 2016.
To view a copy of the Draft Report, please access the link below. Please be advised that it may take a few minutes to load the document.
The Village is seeking to submit additional grant applications to the Rural Dividend Fund for further study and possible implementation of some of the strategies highlighted in the draft report. Please feel free to share this document with any other parties you feel may be interested in this initiative.
