Amenities Available at Keremeos Rodeo Grounds

The Keremeos Rodeo Grounds are located at 3012 River Road, Keremeos BC and contains enough room to accommodate 150 RVs and Trailers.  The following amenities at the Keremeos Rodeo Grounds have been made available for use by evacuees:

  • Water line tie-ins for RVs and Trailers (located at yellow flags on Northwestern portion of property)
  • A Farm Hydrant for RVs and Trailers to fill water holding tanks
  • A Sani-Dump for RVs and Trailers to dispose of waste water
  • Washrooms and Showers for use by evacuees (currently only the Women’s washroom is open but both Men and Women may use these facilities)
  • Watering Troughs for watering of livestock
  • 27 Livestock Pens for housing horses and other livestock displaced by wildfires
  • Overflow areas for livestock (if necessary)

Pets are welcome on the property but must be kept tied and secured by a leash to mitigate conflicts with livestock on the property.

Occupants should also be aware that the Front Gate MUST be secured closed once entering the property (preferably by two people to anchor and lock) and are asked to secure the gate as shown at time of arrival.  If the gate cannot be secured, do not leave the vicinity and call Mac Watson at (250) 499-9843 or (250) 499-5313 for immediate assistance.

The Village of Keremeos applauds the Keremeos Elks Association for their commitment to ensuring those displaced by wildfires have a safe place to stay during these trying times.
