October 11, 2017 Open House Event

The second Open House for the Downtown Visual Enhancement Project was held on October 11, 2017.  For those who couldn't join us, we are offering a Virtual Open House here!

Our project consultants, CTQ Consultants Ltd., presented the following Slideshow Presentation outlining refined options for:

The draft final report on Business Recruitment and Resident Attraction Strategy is now available for review (click on the image below to view the report).

Downtown Visual Enhancement Project Background Information

September 2016 Preliminary Report

The Keremeos downtown visual enhancement project has been fully funded by grants from the Ministry of Forests Rural Dividend Fund.  A preliminary report was completed in September, 2016 (click on the image below to view the report).  In May, 2017, Phase 1 Implementation was approved by Village Council.

 

July 12, 2017 Open House Event

An Open House was then held July 12, 2017 to solicit input from Keremeos residents and business owners.  The materials presented focused on a number of enhancement elements, including:

  • Comprehensive Concept Plan
  • Signage Location & Design Strategy
  • Pocket Park
  • Design Guidelines
  • Business Recruitment & Resident Attraction Strategy
  • Arts Walk
  • Historical / Heritage Information Plaques
