OCP/Zoning Bylaw Amendments

Amendments to an Official Community Plan (OCP) Bylaw or Zoning Bylaw may be required when the proposed use or density of a property is not permitted in the current zoning.

 

OCP/Zoning Bylaw Amendment applications require the submission of an application fee, completed application form, a copy of a State of Title Certificate dated no more than 30 days prior to application date, and other supporting documentation (i.e. site and elevation plans).  

 

OCP/Zoning Bylaw Amendment applications are referred to adjacent property owners, Village Departments, Provincial Ministries and outside agencies prior to being considered at a Public Hearing and decided upon by Village Council.  The approval of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MoTI) may also be required for proposals within the vicinity of Provincial Highways.

 

Time to Process Application: Approximately 3 months

$1000.00 for Zoning Bylaw Amendment

$1000.00 for Official Community Plan Bylaw Amendment

$1500.00 for a Joint OCP/Zoning Bylaw Amendment
