Similkameen Riverbed Prohibition on Camping and Fires

The Village of Keremeos is working with land owners to protect the Similkameen riverbed area southeast of town.

Signs have been erected at entrances to the riverbed, advising visitors that access is limited to respectful day-use only, 7 am to 9 pm. Users are reminded to leave the area as they found it.

Camping, fires, smoking and soil disturbance are prohibited. Village of Keremeos staff and the RCMP will enforce.

The Village is pleased to help restore the area to its natural beauty, and to protect the rare species that live there.
