2016 Annual Report Now Ready for Public Review

The Village of Keremeos 2016 Annual Report has been adopted by Council at their regular meeting held June 19, 2017 and is now available for public review.  The annual report can be viewed by accessing the link below.

Fire Prohibitions to Expand in our Region June 15th

Effective at noon on June 15, 2017, the size of open fires will be restricted at all elevations throughout the entire Kamloops Fire Centre to help prevent human-caused wildfires and protect the public.

 

Anyone conducting Category 2 or 3 fires anywhere in the Kamloops Fire Centre’s jurisdiction must extinguish those fires by noon on June 15. This prohibition will remain in effect until Oct. 15, 2017 or until further notice.

Landfill Free Yard and Garden Waste Disposal Limits

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) Board is revisiting the amount of yard and garden waste Landfills can accept for free.  The amount accepted for free will remain at 500 kg per load.  This is a change from the proposed reduction to 100 kg free per load brought forward earlier this year.  This change only affects the Campbell Mountain, Oliver, Okanagan Falls and Keremeos Landfills which are operated by the RDOS.
