2018 Successful Applicants for Facade Improvement Grants

The Village of Keremeos is pleased to announce the three successful applicants for the 2018 Facade Improvement Program:


  • The Secret Garden for new awnings and sign
  • The Three Winds Gallery for wrap, paint and trim on the west facade
  • Outlaw Graphics for a complete new facade


We congratulate the successful applicants and are looking forward to seeing these exciting changes!

Soil Remediation at 7th and 7th

Suspected contaminated soil was found under the intersection of 7th Avenue and 7th Street a number of weeks ago. SNC Lavalin was engaged to assess the situation and test the soil.

Proper Disposal of Sandbags After Flooding

As the risk of flooding has reduced throughout the region, and more residents return to their homes, the Regional District Okanagan-Similkameen Emergency Operations Centre (RDOS EOC) is scaling back operations.  The EOC will close to the public effective Friday, June 15, 2018 at 4:30 pm.

Steps to Better Health Walking Group - Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 AM

The Lower Similkameen Community Services Society in conjunction with the Similkameen Pharmacy are organizing a community walking group to promote better health.


"The walking initiative is greatly beneficial for our community and our members as it improves mood, health, connectivity and a general sense of community" write the program organizers.

Keremeos State of Local Emergency Rescinded

The State of Local Emergency for Keremeos was rescinded yesterday, June 7, 2018. Groundwater throughout low lying areas of Keremeos has receded and the sewer treatment has been running without additional pumps for several days.

Downtown Water Upgrades – Construction within Intersections and Roadway at 7th Avenue

As part of the ongoing water upgrades along 7th Avenue, contractors will need to perform works within the intersections at 5th and 6th Streets as well as portions of the travelled roadway at 7th Avenue in order to complete this project.
