Notice of Landfill Tipping Fee Changes Effective May 1st, 2017

As of May 1st, 2017, modified tipping fees and regulations will be applied at all Regional District operated landfills including the Keremeos Residential Transfer Station.

 

Key Changes Include:

Landfill Fees to Rise at Keremeos Landfill

On May 1, 2017, the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen will be raising fees from $95 a metric tonne for regular garbage to $110 a metric tonne at all RDOS landfills.  Additionally, the quantity of yard and wood waste that can be brought into the landfills for free will drop from 500 kg to 100 kg per load.

Keremeos Landfill Extended Hours

Please be advised the Keremeos Landfill will be open on Wednesdays from March until the end of November.  During these months the Transfer Station will be open Wednesday 12 pm to 4 pm and on Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm.

2017 Business Facade Improvement Grants

The Village of Keremeos will be accepting applications for 2017 Business Facade Improvement Grants as of March 1, 2017.  Information and applications are available online at http://www.keremeos.ca/content/business-facade-improvement-program or at the Village Office.  Note that applications must be received in the Village Office no later than June 16, 2017 at 4 p.m. to be considered.  Approved facade grant projects must be complete by November 30, 2017.
